ok, I'm tired of reading between the lines... Here is the rumor as i understand it (Picked from other boards)
Ken and Sekou have left the band.
Ken I understand there may be legal issues involved here, but i think a comment would be appropriate here.
If you have left, say...... "NO COMMENT"
If there is trouble on the Thornley front, and you (the band) are working it out, Say ..................................."Stay tuned for more information"
Either squash the rumor, or make us wait.
Thornley is becoming a hard band to follow and support.
Oaf.

I've heard the same - it's tricky because I don't think anyone who isn't either with the band or the label(s) knows anything, but the whole "you hear it enough times it starts sounding true" line of thinking is starting to sink in... I know Ken's endured a lot of personal trials so while I'd like him to either come in and squash or, to a lesser extent, confirm the rumors, I can't consider it fair for him to come here, though I like your approach, Oaf. I have to confess that I haven't actively been following Thornley where I "need to know now," though I'd obviously like to...

About this rumour that Thornley is falling to pieces, I'd be careful about the lies that I'll believe - especially when things seemed so far, so good. I know many of you feel lost at sea right now. Although Ken's been away, I'm sure he will eventually come again and let us in on the bright side of things. I'm sure it will all come out in the wash. Even if they've all found another way, we all know it's hard to keep a good man down so I'm sure that Ian, Ken and Sekou will continue to make beautiful and clever music no matter where they are. At the going rate in todays ever changing music business, anything can happen - easy come, easy go. Okay... that was lame. (slow day at work.. okay?)

I hear what you're saying, but aren't you afraid they'll piss it all away? I'm not expecting anyone from Thornley to stand up and say "This is because of me..." they have to take care not to make a mistake.

But how would you know what's going on? Between you and I, I wouldn't waste any more time overemphasizing this situation. I highly doubt that this story will fall through the cracks and it will all be blown wide open when the time is right.

Ok everybody take a deep breath....Inhale, and now exhale. There doesn't that feel better. I'm sure whatever happens it will be No Fault of anyone but bad luck. Before we get Knee Deep in controversy let's just assume that Everything is Fine. I mean kcbent, it's not very Ladylike to assume things you know. Sure if Ken came on here and shed some light on the subject it would Ease My Mind, it'd be a Waste to just sit here and speculate. I say tonight we all sit down and say a little Prayer for our guys but also come to terms with the fact that All our Days are Numbered and that perhaps it is just time. We can't let The Pleasure and the Greed take over. Sure some of us are Still Holding on to some hope but who knows what can happen.

In my mind, I'm trying to slow it down and be calm about this. Try it sometime, it's the wiser thing to do. There's no point in getting all cracked about this because it can really make you go down. Any day now, Ken will come around and say something. Don't go thinking that he's gone yet. In the meantime, everybody should just shut up and it will be all uncovered and the story might just be anything but that which we are fearing.

I think the guys deserve the dignity of working out whatever may or may not be happening on thier own, without everyone asking about it and jumping to conclusions. Chris, I'm not trying to spank you over this, but posting assumptions about possible legal issues concerning the band is in my opinion.....icky, you know? It's *their* business, not anyone else's. Like I said, just my opinion. I don't know, this whole conversation strikes me wrong. Sorry if I've pissed anyone off.

I don't think you've pissed anyone off, as far as Neal/Mike/I, I think we're simply trying to make light of what could be a real downer. As far as speculating about Ken, this is a community of people who follow his music so it's natural to speculate about his future without expecting/demanding an answer. I'd love to continue to support him with Thornley, if that's not to be then I'll put as much effort into supporting him as Shadrak/Ken Tizzard/whatever mantle he takes. My $0.02.

Some people won't want to talk about these things before official word is given to confirm or deny.
Unfortunately, the topic is popping up in various locations. And it's not due to lack of respect for the boys. Fans are concerned...
I love listening to Thornley, and I have a lot of respect for Ken, Sekou, Tavis and Ian. I wish them all the best, regardless of what may or may not be going on.

What i meant by Legal issues, was that i understand that A comment may not be made because of legal agreements made by any of the partys involved.
It's all good. I have my answers.
Oaf.
